KAZVRI LONDON runs a number of charitable projects. One project that stands out is helping to feed school children in Kenya. The project began with a chance encounter on a BA flight to Nairobi.

 

As fate would have it, the person sitting next to me was an Executive Director of a major US charity, Mid West Food Bank. MWFB had just began to expand into East Africa, starting with Kenya. During the flight we had a chance to talk and he asked me what we did with our crocodile meat. This conversation led to a partnership whereby we now donate our crocodile meat to Mid West Food Bank's feeding programme. This programme continues to help feed many thousands of children in Kenya who would otherwise go to school on an empty stomach. The first batch of the crocodile meat served to the children went down a treat, they loved it.  We are also involved in various other projects including a community program that empowers women, as well as paying school fees for young girls from poor families.

Mid West Food Bank is a charity organisation engaged in gathering and distributing food donations to not-for-profits and disaster locations without cost to recipients. The charity currently provides nutritious meals to 15,000  children a month in Kenya.
